Today was the first day of Senior Project! For my Senior Project, I am completing my academic concentration. My academic concentration is STEM-focused, studying the correlation between female anatomy and athletic injuries. Over the past year, I have made progress with my research, working towards the end goal of a fifteen to twenty-page paper. Over the course of Senior Project, I will be working on completing my paper and the public demonstration of my studies. Today, I worked on beginning the essay and meeting with Heidi to make sure I head in the right direction. Since the temperature was warm and the sun was shining, Sahsa, Lily, and I worked on our projects outside. I look forward to sharing the progress I make over the upcoming weeks.

  Wednesday, May 11, 2022  Another day of Senior Project has passed. Today was an extremely productive day, as I made great progress on my essay. This morning, I arrived at the library to work with both Katherine and Nora again. We worked diligently, as we have been very invested in our concentrations. Throughout the morning I continued writing on the correlation between female anatomy and athletic injuries. Throughout my concentration research, I have gained an immense understanding of the topic, and I look forward to sharing it through my essay and other events. Tuesday, May 17, 2022  Today was an exciting day in terms of my concentration, as I have started to see the culmination of my work. After spending time editing, I began adding my sources to the annotated bibliography. This process consisted of making citations as well as writing why each source was reliable, what information I gained from it, and how the articles were implemented into my essay. After many hours, I completed my annotated bibliography, allowing me to begin my presentation for the public demonstration element of my concentration. For my public demonstration, I will be presenting to the anatomy and physiology class on Friday and the sports medicine class on Saturday. I look forward to sharing my research.  Today’s Hours: 6  Total Hours: 38

Thursday, May 12, 2022  Identical to the previous days this week, I worked on my essay. As I have every morning, I met Katherine and Nora in the library to continue our concentrations. Today, I was extremely productive and hope to have a draft of my essay completed soon. Once I complete a draft, there will be many hours put into editing. This concentration had allowed me to delve further into my passion for medical sciences. In the upcoming week, I will have the opportunity to present my work and share my research. I am excited to see what people think of the work I have completed!  Today’s Hours:  6 Total Hours: 22
